“It’s all doable!”

This was a favorite saying of my dear friend and colleague Bonnie Weiland Hare, an independent educational consultant also from Wisconsin. I am dedicating my first blog post to her memory, as Bonnie passed away last week. The epitome of courage, faith, and strength, Bonnie made a tremendous impact on the lives of all she touched. She embodied the notion that anything was possible, and passed along that positive spirit to her students.
So to my students, I wish to remind all of you that this process can be arduous, but it is “all doable.” There will be ups and downs, triumphs and tribulations, but in the end, the light at the end of the tunnel is a fantastic college experience. Work hard – at your academics, your extracurriculars, and your test prep, but remember to maintain perspective – don’t let your destination stop you from enjoying the journey.
Hope you are soaking up this beautiful spring weather!
Laurie
